BASIC STUFF

What is HTML?

(Hyper Text Markup Language) is the computer language that is used to create documents on the web. It can be kind of confusing to understand in the beginning. HTML documents are text files that consist of HTML tags (which can place the text or images wherever you want to place them), and text you can place between the tags so that the text will show up on your page when you publish it on the WWW. Tags are instructions that tell your browser what to show on a Web page. They break up your document into basic sections. All tags start with a < (left bracket) and end with a > (right bracket).

Where do I put the code?

Some of the codes your put in custom heading and some code goes into Website stats. It depends on the type of code, and you should have instructions on where to put what.

How come some of the codes don't work?

There may be extra spaces in them, or there be some error. Sometimes Xanga won't let you see it because you have low speed internet or slow computer but other peoples can see it.

 Where can I upload my pictures?

Two great places are http://www.photobucket.com and http://www.tinypic.com I'd suggest tinypic, just because there's not a bandwidth. 

Where can I get music?

A great place to get music is http://www.xanga.com/xanga_music and http://www.xanga.com/music_galore <--Music Galore doesn't work anymore, and a lot of other sides used their codes for their "own" music. Therefore, basically everywhere you go, the codes won't work. So good luck trying!

Where do I find different color codes?

Bolding/Italic/Underline IN COMMENTS!

If you don't have xanga, and want to make your text bold italic or underline there's a SIMPLE trick! Just hold in Control (ctrl) on your keyboard, then press "b" for bold, "i", for italic, or "u" for underline, and the text you write will be bolded italic or underline INSTANTLY! To end the bold, italic, or underline simply press control "b/i/u" and it will end! Hope that helps ya'll
